Delve into the topics of intimacy and relationships with an emphasis on non-sexual touch. While exploring how we feel cared for and held by others, we will also examine the cultural dynamics that can come into play when giving and receiving touch as men.
This exploration of touch will not be sexual, but rather a means to understand the difference between sexual desire and the desire for closeness. Participants will have the opportunity to experience giving and receiving touch without the expectation of sex, allowing them to distinguish when sexual desire, the desire for closeness, or both are present.
Through dyads, triads, and small group activities, attendees will gain a broader sense of what men experience when it comes to touch and holding. This workshop may bring up a strong sense of eros, but our focus will remain on non-sexual touch.
